The 12 DOGGY-DOs @ PI
1 Keep it clean
Someone has to. Why not you?
2 Carry a leash
... for every dog you're walking.
3 Leash-up in lots
Parking areas are on-leash for all animals.
4 Watch it!
Can't see your dog? So who's controlling it?
5 Use your words
Your dog has to come when you call it.
6 No digging
It's landfill. It's toxic. It's a bad idea.
7 Fill holes ASAP
They're ankle-breakers (for dogs and people).
8 No bikes
For kind of obvious reasons.
9 It's for the birds
NO hassling ANY birds, especially at low tide.
10 Legal, beagle?
License and vaccinate. It's the law.
11 3's company
More dogs than that? You need a permit.
12 Play nice
And if your pooch can't...LEASH it.

Although dogs are generally not allowed on paved trails or in "developed areas," in 1987 PIDO successfully negotiated the Point Isabel Exception that allows off-leash dogs at Point Isabel on both paved and dirt trails, and in the cafe and dog wash areas.
