Dogs at the Point: Maya

My name is Maya and I am a dog.

Like you, my Master, Martin, is a “human.” You may have already seen me with my Master and possibly his girlfriend and son, Suzanne and Tonio. Also “human.”

I hail from Tracy and met my peeps through The Milo Foundation. (Very nice place. Great smelling people!) Actually, I met Martin just hours after arriving at The Milo. Super fortuitous! I needed a home and he needed an outrageously fun and furry friend. Our lives are quite good together.

Martin primarily hunts and opens doors for us. He’s quite good at both. He'll open the door, leave, and return with chicken, beef, salami…etc! Incredible!

My job at our domicile is primarily to prevent the Squirrels from infesting our lives! At present there are only two of them but we  all know how Squirrels can be if you let them get comfy!

Unfortunately, I do have my vices as well. Ball thieving being chief among them. I'm sorry! But if you don't want your ball thieved, don't bring it to the park! Oooh, they're so good! The brinier the better!

Mudding is another of my guilty pleasures. The squishiness between my toes! The rich aromas! My god, why doesn't everyone go mudding. It's so healthy for the soul! Then again, I come from a long line of mudders. My mother was a mudder and her mother before her was a mudder. Even my father was a mudder!

So if you see a fabulously muddy dog and it steals your ball maybe you could possibly spare her a little treat or she may be forced to muss your nice outfit!

Just a thought.
