Albany Beach cleanup

Join Albany Landfill Dog Owners group, East Bay Regional Park District, the Albany Beach kiteboarding community, Love the Bulb, the Samavesha Community Foundation, Wholly H20, and environmental artist Zach Pine for a beach cleanup and free sand globe workshop. Good for all ages!

Bring a sieve and small trowel if you have one, and your own bucket and gloves (or use ours). Learn how to make sand globes at Zach Pine's free, fun workshop. If you can't find street parking, you may be able to use the Golden Gate Fields parking lot for a few dollars or free. Special bonus:  There's a kids carnival that day to benefit nonprofit City Horse. (Admission $2.)

You'll find our sign-in table on the bluff above the beach, past the new restrooms.

ALDOG is a project of PIDO and a California Coastal Commission adopter of Albany Beach.

Photos from past PIDO events

Every October PIDO hosts a dog costume contest and parade at Point Isabel and for the past two years, we've held an Easter Egg hunt near Mudpuppy's. We also host American Kennel Club "Canine Good Citizen" testing once a year.
