We’re here for you and your dogs. Please support Point Isabel Dog Owners & Friends’ work with a one-time or recurring donation. Your contribution of $20 ($10 for students, seniors and low income households) makes you a PIDO member. Our expenses are ongoing, so please consider a recurring donation if your finances permit. If you’re already a member, please consider making a charitable contribution for our 39 years of service to Point Isabel.

PIDO has worked hard to keep Point Isabel clean, safe, and, most importantly, off-leash for 38 years…

With your help we can do even more.

Membership: Join PIDO with a lifetime membership for $20 ($10 for students, seniors and low income households). If you are already a member, can you “renew your dues” with a donation of $10, $20, or more? Signup in support PIDO’s mission of keeping Point Isabel clean, safe, and off-leash.

Make a Donation: Can you donate $39 — or a multiple of $39 — in recognition of PIDO’s 39 years of service to the park? Your contribution will help us continue our work.

If you prefer to pay by check, please mail to:
PIDO, P.O. Box 8282, Berkeley, CA 94707

Please note that PIDO currently uses PayPal for online donations. Other than receiving checks, it’s the most efficient way for a small organization like ours to receive contributions. PayPal takes a fee of 2.2% of the transaction amount. (PIDO will never share your information.)

PIDO is all-volunteer. We regularly do park cleanups and weed pulls, help pay for poop bags, produce park information brochures, maintain bulletin boards to help educate park visitors, and host community events. We publish The PIDO Pointer (print and online) and email members updates and important news about Point Isabel and other East Bay parks.

Thanks to donors, PIDO has contributed nearly $35,000 to EBRPD over the past 10 years for poop bags, tree plantings, bulletin boards, and other improvements at Point Isabel.

We appreciate every member and supporter. Our voices together ensure a thriving Point Isabel Regional Shoreline for all.

Nonprofit status: PIDO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations to PIDO are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Our tax ID number is 94-3348406.

Looking to the future, PIDO will soon begin working to ensure that EBRPD either buys Point Isabel or renews the park’s lease.

  • The half of the park south of Hoffman Channel (the “Mudpuppy’s side”) is actually owned by the U.S. Postal Service.

  • When the USPS built its Bulk Mail Center near the shoreline, it leased the adjacent land to EBRPD as mitigation, to be used as a public park. The lease expires in 2025.
